Information and communication technology has changed the operational processes and working methods of employees. In this regard, the present study aimed to investigate the relationship between technology‑induced work–family conflict and cyberslacking through the mediating role of techno‑exhaustion and internet addiction. The research method was descriptive‑correlational. The statistical population consisted of employees of Isfahan Oil Refinery Company in the spring of 2025 (1404), from which 105 individuals were selected using convenience sampling and responded to the research instruments. The instruments included the Technology‑Induced Work–Family Conflict Scale (Ayyagari et al., 2011), the Techno‑Exhaustion Scale (Ayyagari et al., 2011), the Short Form of the Pontes & Griffiths Internet Disorder Scale (2016), and the Cyberslacking Scale (Ayyagari et al., 2011). Data were analyzed using PLS software. The results showed adequate fit of the measurement models and the structural equation model for the relationship between technology‑induced work–family conflict and cyberslacking through techno‑exhaustion and internet addiction among employees. The direct effect of technology‑induced work–family conflict on cyberslacking was significant (P < 0.05). Furthermore, the indirect effects of technology‑induced work–family conflict on cyberslacking through the mediating roles of internet addiction and techno‑exhaustion were also significant (P < 0.05). Work–family conflict can lead to feelings of dissatisfaction, stress, and anxiety, which ultimately drive individuals toward increased internet use and online loafing.
