The aim was to investigate the relationship between the level of education and media literacy of working women aged 18 to 40 in Tehran in terms of exposure to social media news. This study was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method, and data were collected using a standard 20-question media literacy questionnaire from 383 people as a statistical sample. Spearman's correlation test and one-way analysis of variance were used to analyze the data. The findings showed that there is a positive relationship between the level of education and the components of media literacy; in such a way that with increasing education level, the level of media literacy also increases. The highest correlation was related to the component of understanding the content of media messages and the lowest correlation was related to critical thinking. Also, the results of the analysis of variance test showed that the average media literacy in different educational groups has a significant difference, and this difference shows an upward trend with increasing education level. Overall, the results of the study indicate that formal education plays an important role in promoting women's media literacy and improving their informed exposure to social media news. However, to strengthen analytical and critical skills, supplementary and targeted training in the field of media literacy is necessary
